UTS: International Studies offers a range of subjects and courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The main aim of the International Studies program is to allow students to gain exposure to a country, its language and culture.
At undergraduate level, every Faculty has degrees that can be combined with the BA in International Studies.
At postgraduate level UTS: International Studies offers both coursework and research degrees.
It offers a coursework Master of Arts in China Studies, Master of Arts in International Studies and a Graduate Diploma in International Studies.
UTS: International Studies also offers the research degrees of Master of Arts (by thesis) in International Studies and PhD in International Studies. These two programs may also be offered through the medium of Chinese for those specialising in China Studies.
All students in the BA in International Studies and most of the students in the MA in International Studies by coursework must complete an extensive period of In-country Study in a partner university in a non-English speaking country or region. The aim of these programs is to allow students to gain exposure to a country, its language and culture.
