OS-Help Loans
OS-HELP is a Commonwealth Government funded loan program specifically for students who are studying overseas as part of their undergraduate study.
- Through OS-HELP, students may apply to borrow up to $5,196 per six months, for a maximum of 2 six-month periods.
- A loan fee of 20% is applied to the amount borrowed.
- Students incur an OS-HELP debt that is repaid directly to the Department of Education Science and Training (DEST) in the same way and under the same conditions that a HECS debt is repaid.
- OS-Help Loan must be for use in overseas study to be undertaken within 6 months of the Loan being awarded.
- Students are able to apply for OS-Help Loans in addition to other scholarships and grants administered by UTS.
